My Pretty Sweetheart novel Chapter 603

She was obviously a little surprised. Looking at me with her big round eyes, she said, "Really? Mommy, you can't lie to me."

I smiled and said, "When have I ever lied to you? Hmm?"

"Then, can we bring Bennett?" She asked, looking at me with her lovely black eyes.

I paused for a moment. "Anne, Bennett needs to live with his Daddy. If he goes to Jarold City with us, he will be separated from his Daddy. Do you want him to be separated from his Daddy?"

The little fellow shook her head and said, "No!"

"That's why. Anne, we all have things that we want. Everyone's different," I said.

After a long silence, she looked up at me and said, "Mommy, I'll go to Jarold City with you."

I nodded. Everyone had different things they cared about.

I had not decided on the time to return to Jarold City yet. After all, I needed to finish all the work in Hovell first.

Perhaps it was because of the continuous arrival of the Reid family members and Norman that I seemed to be ostracized in the hotel.

There was bound to have a lot of gossip in a place with many women.

I was in the washroom on this day. Before I came out, there were already some people gossiping outside.

"Who do you think is the father of Arianna's child? Would it be Aaron Reid?"

"That's impossible. Aren't they siblings?"

"There are a lot of incestuous relationships in the rich and powerful families. Otherwise, why would a rich man's daughter like her come to live in this small city? Don't you feel strange?"

"You're right. I think we haven't seen the father of her child or heard of him from her before. Is she really Aaron's child?"

"That's possible. She accidentally got pregnant after having an incestuous relationship with her brother. That's why she fled to this small city in order to avoid arousing suspicion!"

I couldn't help but smile bitterly. It seemed that no matter how a person lived, he or she may not be free and at peace. Rumors were terrifying!

A girl's panicked voice suddenly came from outside. "Oh God, I think my period came. Do any of you have sanitary napkins?"

"No. Our periods haven't come," the others replied.

"What should I do? It'll stain my skirt later. I forgot that my period is supposed to come today and I'm wearing a white dress."
