My Pretty Sweetheart novel Chapter 607

Several years later, he did not overturn his eager feelings toward me. Instead, he slowly entered my life and memory little by little.

The process was not enthusiastic. But it was hard to refuse, or even push away.

I cooked some porridge for him. When I arrived at the hotel, Hendrix was lying quietly on a large, white bed.

He seemed to be asleep with the back of his hand on his forehead.

His face was pale. I put the porridge aside and sat beside him. I felt an indescribable surge of emotion.

If we hadn't gone wrong from the start, perhaps we would not have reached this point, where both of us were carefully looking forward to the future.

I held his hand lightly. I was afraid that I would wake him up.

However, he was vigilant and woke up within seconds. He opened his eyes and his gaze landed on my face. His usually cold, distant gaze relaxed as he smiled.

"Aren't you resting today? Why are you here?" His voice was hoarse and he sounded a little tired.

"You're sick, so I came to visit you!" I said and pulled back my hand. I wanted to get the porridge, but he held on.

"Did Evan tell you?" he asked.

I nodded. He sat up straight and leaned against the headboard. His brows were slightly furrowed as if he was still in pain.

"Have you taken the medicine?" I looked around the room, but I didn't find any trace of medicine.

He smiled lightly. "It's just a minor issue. I'll be fine after resting."

I pursed my lips, feeling upset. "If you could be cured without taking any medicine, you would have recovered a long time ago. You wouldn't be like this until now."

I tried to withdraw my hand from his palm. But as he held onto it, I lost my balance and fell into his arms.

His body was scorching hot and his breath was attractive.

"Let's eat later. Lie down with me for a while," he said with gentleness in his voice.

After all, he was sick. There was no reason not to take medicine.
