Perhaps Sammy had never been ignored like this before. She was about to lose her temper when Sierra was invited in.
She was wearing a long white dress and her long hair was tied up. Her delicate face looked smaller.
This should be the third time we met. When our eyes met, she was a bit shocked. It was clear that she was quite surprised as to why I was here.
Before Sierra opened her mouth, her agent, Sammy said, "You have arrived, Sierra. Let's do the makeup and choose the style first!"
Sierra didn't say anything. Instead, she kept looking at me. Her eyes were cold. "Miss Reid?"
I smiled a little, not thinking much of it. I nodded and greeted, "Hello, Miss Sierra!"
She looked at me from top to bottom before her eyes fell on my face. She frowned with faint anger in her eyes. "Since when did my role get replaced by Miss Reid?"
Kelsey replied, "Miss Noland, didn't you say that you were sick and you couldn't make it?"
"So what?" Sierra frowned at her, "Miss Parker, do you think that just anyone can replace me?"
"That's right!" Sammy said, "If just anyone can show up here, what about Sierra? She just looks a little like Sierra, but she really thinks she's a star? A peasant is still a peasant, no matter what!"
"Get out of here if you don't know decent manners!" Kelsey was furious. "Roberts Group wants a spokesperson who's polite, honest, and humble, not a petty person who has a pretty but good-for-nothing face."
"Who are you calling good-for-nothing?" Sammy stopped holding back. She started arguing with Kelsey angrily, "You're just the director of the marketing department. Do you really think you're important? One word from Sierra and you're out! Who do you think you are?"
