My Pretty Sweetheart novel Chapter 653

I was taken aback. I forgot that Hendrix mentioned this morning that he wanted to bring Anne out for food.

Josiah coughed and said, "I'll call Hendrix. We'll eat together later."

I nodded and didn't say anything else.

Ever since Monique gave Anne over to me, I never intended for Anne to reconnect with him. Despite this being Monique's final wish, I was somewhat selfish about it.

Hendrix arrived a bit later as he was caught up with his meeting. We waited for him in the restaurant for half an hour.

After placing our order, Anne kept lying in Hendrix's arms and talking to him. It was obvious that she was really attached to Hendrix.

Josiah wanted to speak to Anne several times, but she always answered his questions politely before she continued to pester Hendrix.

I could somewhat understand how he felt, but it was what it was. To diffuse the awkwardness, I said, "I heard you were going to move to Hanlusia City."

Josiah nodded. "Yes, Hanlusia City is where the Saunder Family's roots are. It's time to go back."

I previously heard Hendrix talk about the Saunders family of Hanlusia City, so I knew a thing or two about it. The Saunders family were generations of well- educated, and noble people. With each generation came their own success, be it in the business or the medical field. They were reputable locally and internationally.

Within a century, the Saunders family's influence over Hanlusia City became significant. Josiah's return to Hanlusia City was partially to take care of his family and to continue doing what he liked.

This was great, but Chloe-

Speaking of the devil, she appeared instantly. There weren't many people in the French restaurant, so it was impossible to miss her.

After all, she was a woman with a big belly, dressed in chic clothes, and still exuded an elegant aura. This perfect- looking mother was captivating.
