I reminded her, "Anne, remember to drink."
"Okay, Mommy!" The little girl's eyes were still fixed on the comic when she answered me.
One could tell just how engrossed she was in her reading.
After stepping out of the screen, I couldn't help but look at Hendrix, who was working at his desk.
He was still very focused. I picked up the unfinished book from the cradle and walked to his side, then leaned against him as I continued reading.
He smiled softly and asked in a gentle voice, "Are you hungry?"
I shook my head and leaned it against his shoulder, using both my hands to open and read the book.
"What do you want to eat later?" He stopped what he was doing and put his arms behind me, which made it easier for me to lean on him.
I thought very seriously and found that there wasn't anything I particularly wanted to eat. I tilted my head to look at him. "I don't seem to be craving anything."
"Shall we cook at home then?"
I nodded, a smile spread across my face. "But, you're cooking."
The food I made was not as delicious as his.
"Sure!"
After that, I continued reading my book. He looked at the book in my hand and could not help but smile. "When did you buy this? Domineering CEO?"
I closed the book and looked at the title, "Love Me, Domineering CEO". I said with a smirk, "Monique bought this book previously to put it in Bronzy Condo. I found it humorous, so I brought it along."
He laughed. "So, is it good?"
I thought for a moment and nodded. "It's alright." After a pause, I continued, "I just think that the other CEOs seem to be quite free. Why do they have so much time that they can take the female lead around the world?"
