These words completely shut Andrea up.
She immediately fell silent.
Josiah sneered, but he did not speak. Everyone could hear the sarcasm in Hendrix's words.
Austin was afraid that the atmosphere would turn awkward. So, he said with a smile, "Hendrix has been really busy recently. If Andrea's got any problems, I will take care of it. You should focus on your job.
Hendrix did not respond. The atmosphere instantly turned awkward, but no one was willing to break the ice. The quieter the room got, the more awkward things became.
I couldn't stand it, so I stood up and said, "I'm going to the washroom."
Then, I walked out of the private dining room.
When I was washing my hands, Andrea entered the washroom. She crossed her arms and leaned against the wall, looking at me sarcastically as she said, "You're happy to see Hendrix and Josiah like this?"
I pursed my lips. After washing my hands, I wiped my hands with a piece of tissue and ignored her.
She stood in my way, blocking the door as she glared at me angrily. "What's wrong? Pretending to be innocent without saying a word? Do you know how difficult it was for them to make it this far? You're the reason they're like this now with each other. Don't you think you're a failure, Arianna?"
"What does it have to do with you?" I shot back at her, keeping my anger at bay. "What does it have to do with you if they turn their back against each other? Are you worried that you won't be able to get anything out of these three men, so you're getting antsy now?"
"Nonsense!" She was perturbed, "You don't understand anything. Arianna, you're such a cold-hearted animal. You don't understand their feelings at all."
