My Pretty Sweetheart novel Chapter 820

A sneer from Josiah sounded from the other end. It was still the same line, "You can choose not to come, but I can't guarantee that you'll still be able to see her."

It was obviously a threat.

I was wondering what kind of person Josiah was. Even after so many years, I still couldn't figure out if he was good or bad.

Silly me, how could it be so easy to differentiate between good and bad?

Forget it!

After paying for the fare, I got out of the cab. The driver was concerned and said, "Miss, it's not safe for you to do that!"

I nodded and opened the umbrella. I looked at him and said, "Help me call the police while you're on the way back."

As for Josiah, I really couldn't think of what he wanted.

The driver looked at me and was a little confused, but drove away in the end.

I held the umbrella and walked into the factory. There were footprints of different sizes on the muddy path, looking a little messy.

Despite the factory being empty, I had thankfully been there once, so I didn't find it as creepy.

I entered the factory based on my gut feeling and, Io and behold, I saw Josiah. Anne was nowhere to be found.

When our eyes met, he sneered, "You've got some guts!"

I looked at him. What was he actually thinking? What was his true attitude towards Hendrix?

"Are you going to kill me?" I looked at him. I wasn't as scared as I had imagined, but I was a little confused.

He gazed at me and sat on an old chair leisurely. Looking at me, he said, "Aren't you afraid?"

I retorted, "Should I be afraid?"

He raised his eyebrows and hinted, "Shouldn't you ask about Anne?"

I asked, "Where's Anne?"
