My Pretty Sweetheart novel Chapter 885

The policewoman remained indifferent. With a cold look she said, "Miss Reid, now isn't the time to contact your family. Please cooperate with us for the test."

"No way!" I retorted. Out of the corner of my eye, I spotted a cellphone in the doctor's pocket. Instinctively, I reached my hand towards the doctor and gave him a hard shove.

That caught the doctor off guard as he fell to the ground. I swiftly grabbed the phone from his white coat.

However, before I could turn it on, it was snatched away from my hand. The policewoman was quick on her feet. Without hesitation, she had me pressed to the ground with both of my hands restrained behind me.

My joints had been twisted painfully, and my face pressed to the cold tiles on the ground. Although I wanted to speak, nothing came out.

The policewoman's voice bellowed against my ear. "Arianna, you're causing obstruction to police work. I have the right to detain you."

I pursed my lips, unable to say a word. Rather, I was trying to think as hard as I could on how to

save myself.

Because of what I'd done, the other policemen had hurried over and led me back to the lockup, leaving the policewoman, who simply looked at me without a word.

Her pair of grim eyes sent shivers down my spine. After a long time, she said, "You'd best behave. There are ways we can dispose of you otherwise. Your body would be taken so deep into the forest, you won't even have a clue how you'll meet your end."

I barked out a laugh as I looked up at her. "So, you're admitting that you set me up? What's this supposed to be? Are you framing me? Or are you going to murder me?"

Her lips curled, showing off a cold smile. "It doesn't matter. You may think as you please. But since you're here now, be good and forget about leaving."

"Who the hell are you? Why do you want to arrest me?" If I were going to end up dead, then I should have the right to know why.
