I walked out the room with him. As I walked downstairs, I could see Westin's tall, fierce figure, standing in the hall under the dim light. He looked at us listlessly.
I stopped in my tracks, calling out instinctively, "Westin!"
"Let's go!" Sebastian barely looked at him, as he headed straight out while holding onto me.
I thought that Westin would've stopped us, but unexpectedly, he just stood there and watched me leave.
I hesitated before I turned back around. "Thank you!"
He just glanced at Sebastian without malice and without saying a thing.
There were three black cars waiting for us outside the villa. The sound of gunshots rang out from the rubber tree forest as soon as we got on the car.
Sebastian pushed me into the car and addressed the driver immediately, "Take them and go now!"
Kaleb probably had returned. I panicked for a moment and looked at Sebastian. I didn't know what to say, so I just told him, "Be careful!"
He stared blankly at me for a moment before he nodded.
The car did not go towards the direction of the rubber tree forest; rather, it headed into the forest behind the villa.
The car was going in the opposite direction of the sound of gunshots and thunder, which indicated incoming rainfall.
The mountain road was rough and rocky. I felt lightheaded along the way due to the bumps, my stomach rolling. I couldn't help but retch a few times.
The gunshots behind us continued. It seemed that the other party had no intention of giving up the chase. After entering the mountain forest, the car drove towards an empty space up ahead.
We were at the airport, and there were helicopters in sight!
It took me a while to react when the car stopped. The driver yelled, "Get out of the car!"
With barely any hesitation, he jumped out of the car and forcefully dragged me along.
