After a long while, he said in a husky voice, “Bella, stop playing with me. My illness is serious. Even if I don’t talk about it bluntly, you should be aware that I don’t dare to tie the knot with you. So, stop being so nice to me. We don’t have a future.” 

Arabella fixed her bright eyes on his handsome face and replied, “Yep. I understand. But Mr. Lucero, I’ll save you.”"No, you can't." 

Arabella shook her head, curled up her red, soft lips, and continued, “I can save you. But I still need several days. During this period, you have to endure it. I want to stay with you.” 

This was her biggest selfish motive. She knew he was in poor health now, but she couldn’t save him right away because she wanted to stay with him.
