Chapter 70
Kenneth put the book down, sat up, and asked, "Do you want me to carry you here?"
Arabella quickly climbed onto the bed and rolled to the other side.
She then turned her back to him and tried her best to press her body against the wall so that she could keep a distance from him.
Suddenly, Kenneth domineeringly hooked his arm around her slender waist and pulled her into his arms, making her rest her head on his strong arm and press her face against his sturdy chest. When she was about to push him away, he said with a smile, "Why are you so restless? Do you want some entertainment?"
Hearing his threat, Arabella didn't dare to move anymore.
Suddenly, her phone began to ring.
Arabella stretched out to take her phone from under the pillow and found it was Melvin who was calling her.
She didn't answer the call, so his message soon came with a ding, saying, "Bella, answer the phone."
Then, the phone kept ringing because Melvin called her repeatedly, but she didn't intend to pick it up. Suddenly, Kenneth snatched her phone away with his big hand.
The dim light of the bedside lamp gilded his handsome and delicate face, and when he pursed his thin lips, she could see there was a hint of danger in his cold look.
When he was about to answer the call, she hurriedly stopped him, saying, "Don't pick it up!"
He turned to glance at her, narrowed his brooding eyes, and asked, "Why? Are you afraid I will harm him?"
"No! But it's my own business. You promised you won't interfere!"
