Clint sighed, a sad look appearing in his eyes.
Zaafea sounded worried as he asked, “Hey, what’s the matter? Are you asking me for help because the Melton family doesn't welcome him? Gosh, what a pity.”
“Hey, stop sassing me,” Clint said as he punched Zaafea lightly. Then, he added in a relaxed tone, “That’s not the case at all. You know how they say your parents love your kids more than they love you? It’s true.
"My parents have been delighted by my nephew’s presence and are spoiling him to the moon and back. Hey, wait! How did you change the subject so swiftly?!”
Clint realized what was going on.
“I wanted to talk about Deluca’s cultivation! His cultivation!”
“Oh, yes. Cultivation!” Zaafea hurriedly played along. “What sort of practice did you have in mind? The one-day mastery program or the two-day mastery program?”
Clint could tell Zaafea did not want to bring himself more trouble than he needed to.
“Come on, dude! I’ll buy you whatever you want to eat as long as you tutor Deluca in his cultivation. How about that?”
Zaafea sighed and said ruefully, “You know just how to dig traps for me to fall into, Mr. Melton. Do you think I have no idea what his condition is like? A body ravaged by demon-taming methods, combined with the sect master of the Endless Horizon Sect's internal alchemy, makes it practically impossible for him to practice basic cultivation.
"It would be alright if these powers were separated, but since they’re combined, even the slightest oversight would cause irreparable damage to the young boy’s body.
"So, I would advise him to be an ordinary human and not get involved in all that violence. He’s not emotionally mature enough, so a forceful cultivation won’t work.”
Client nodded. “I know that. But the demonic energy is still present in him, and I’m worried…”
“It’s alright, Mr. Melton. The fact he could wake up means the demonic energy within him is safe and won't cause him any harm.”
“If that’s the case…”
“Yes, that’s what I suggest. The Summit of Ten Thousand Dynasties is happening soon, so stop thinking about anything else. If you’re going to attend, you should prepare to put all your eggs into one basket.”
Clint nodded.
“Zaafea, want to celebrate New Year's at my place?”
