Never See You Again (Sergio and Maeve) novel Chapter 468

"She's such a heartless woman!"

The whispers of disapproval around Clara grew louder. Meanwhile, Henry and Hailey's faces darkened with disbelief.

"My daughter... How could she... No, this must be faked!" Henry couldn't accept the truth.

Maeve looked at him coldly.

Hailey, too, was stunned into silence. She was too shocked to process the news that Clara had caused her great-grandchild's death and was at a loss for words.

"Mr. Carter, I wonder what kind of charge one faces for killing their own child?"

Maeve's question left Richard speechless. They had never encountered such a situation before.

Hearing Maeve, Henry fumed and shouted, "Maeve! My daughter is still in the hospital. What are you trying to do?"

Maeve sneered, "I'm not trying to do anything. But since Clara sacrificed her own child to frame me. I have to seek justice for myself."

"My daughter has already lost her child. What more do you want? Maeve, how can you be so cruel?"

"Cruel? Your daughter just killed her own child. Compared to that, I consider myself less cruel."

"You—!"

Henry was about to explode with rage, but Hailey beat him to it.

She stepped forward to demand an explanation. "What a spectacle by the Ramoz family! You promised to marry your daughter to Sergio, only to end up killing my great-grandchild! You owe me his life!"

Hailey was furious. Years in high society had made her well aware of the schemes that played out in these circles.

It was clear that Clara had used her own child to frame Maeve, just to bring her down. The Ramoz family had convinced her to hold a jewelry banquet, supposedly to humiliate Maeve, but in reality, they made her a pawn.
