Chapter 86 

Clara stopped sobbing when she heard Sergio’s words. Instead, she raised her head and looked pitifully at Sergio. “Then, can I really stay in Brooks Manor to recuperate?” 

Sergio caressed Clara’s head as he said, “I’ll ask Larry to move your things out of your dorm. It’s probably 

a hassle for you to stay at school while you’re recuperating, so you can move into my house.” 

Sniffling, Clara leaned into Sergio’s embrace as she said in a small voice. “Thank you, Mr. Brooks…” 

Nearby, when Larry saw that scene, he couldn’t help but frown. 

The onlooker saw most of the game, after all. Everyone else could see at a glance that Clara was faking 

it, but Sergio didn’t notice anything off. 

That night, Maeve called a moving company over to move out everything that belonged to her in Brooks 

Manor. 

In the evening, when Sergio helped the injured Clara walk into Brooks Manor, he noticed that many of the decorations in the house were gone. The house looked a little deserted as well. 

When Sergio saw that, he felt a little upset. 

Clara asked, “Mr. Brooks, where will I be staying?” 

“There’s a guest room upstairs. 

Clara nodded. Then, she said in a troubled voice, “M–My leg hurts. I can’t get up there on my own.” 

“I’ll help you.” 

Sergio’s voice was gentle 

Clara felt like her heart was steeped in honey. 

The accident was quite serious, and Clara had unexpectedly injured her face. Still, she felt that it was worth it when she saw how considerate Sergio was toward her, and he would even go against Maeve for 

her sake. 

When they arrived on the second floor, Clara spotted the master bedroom right away. She asked, “Is this 

the master bedroom?” 

Maeve usually stayed here. Sergio nodded. Clara said, “Can I stay in a room closer to yours, Mr. Brooks? I’m worried that it might be hard for me to go downstairs when I want to at night.” 

“Sure.” 

As long as Clara’s requests weren’t too outrageous, Sergio would never decline them. 

Clara took one last look at the master bedroom. A greedy look flashed across her eyes. 

Someday, she would move into that room and become the real lady of the Brooks family.

The next day, Jansen Group’s housing project was open for sale. In the end, news of Sergio disrupting the dinner event had already spread like wildfire in the social circle. 

Maeve was leisurely scrolling through the news on her phone, but Lyra was about to explode in anger.
