A Widow's Poison A Wife's Rebellion novel Chapter 555

Herbert had been visiting her more and more frequently these last few days. He stayed for a short while before leaving.

Once he was gone, Starla turned to Garret. “That property Harley owns abroad… deal with it.”

Her tone was light, almost casual, betraying none of the chilling intent behind her words. But Garret, who had been by her side constantly, knew exactly what “deal with it” meant.

“I’ll make the arrangements immediately,” Garret nodded.

“Dealing with it” meant ensuring Harley’s overseas property met the same fate as the other Yelchin properties had: being reduced to ashes in a fire. Harley and Annika were likely driving Fairfax mad with their demands right now, but for Starla, it wasn’t enough. As long as Fairfax refused to sign the divorce papers, the pressure was still insufficient.

“Is there anything else that needs to be done about Annika?” Garret asked, turning back before he left.

Starla closed the book in her hands and uttered a single word. “No.”

Being unable to return to Marina City and barred from her nursing home was punishment enough for the old woman. Let her wander the streets in that pleasant climate. It was of no concern to her.

“Understood,” Garret said.

“Are Brinley and Darleen still fighting?”

“They’ve stopped. Both of them are injured,” Garret reported.

Brinley’s face was a complete mess. It had already been scratched up by the cat she was bathing, but after the fight with Darleen, there wasn’t a single unmarred spot left on it.
