A Widow's Poison A Wife's Rebellion novel Chapter 732

"Well, no, you don't. So what's with the tears?" Tanya asked, dropping onto the edge of the bed. If it came to the Yelchin family, Starla would only ever channel her energy into ruining them. She certainly wouldn't shed a single tear on their behalf.

Starla remained silent.

"Don't tell me you're crying over that scumbag Fairfax? That's even more pointless! You're getting rid of him, which is exactly what he deserves." When it came to Fairfax, Tanya harbored nothing but pure hatred.

Mentioning the divorce only made the heavy knot in Starla's chest pull tighter. The lump in her throat throbbed.

"Why aren't you saying anything?" When she saw Starla looking so miserable at the mention of the divorce, Tanya was baffled. "What? Do you actually not want to leave him? Girl, you can't be serious..."

Tanya was completely in the dark, mistakenly assuming Starla was having second thoughts. After everything that had gone down, if she still wanted to stay in that toxic marriage, Tanya wouldn't even know what to say.

But right now, Starla didn't know what to say either. She looked up at her friend with tired eyes. "Didn't Darian Lynn tell you?"

"Tell me what?" Tanya frowned, perplexed. Darian knew her absolute disdain for Fairfax. He wouldn't dare breathe a word about the man in front of her, knowing she'd bite his head off.

"Fairfax ran away."

"Huh? Wait, what does that even mean?" Tanya had been slammed with work all day and hadn't caught up on the latest gossip. Hearing this sent her into a state of utter shock.

"He handed over the Yelchin Group and transferred all the family's money to me," Starla explained wearily. "But he didn't sign the divorce papers. He just vanished."

Tanya's jaw practically hit the floor. Her eye twitched. "He ran? Without divorcing you?"

"Yeah." Starla nodded slowly.

"What kind of twisted logic is that?"

He didn't sign the papers, but he bolted? And he gave her everything she asked for? He surrendered his entire empire but held onto the marriage?

It made absolutely zero sense.

"What is he trying to pull?" Tanya asked.
