Abandoned by All I Took It All Back novel Chapter 230

Most other restaurants would be empty in the morning, but The Tasting Room already had customers.

After being seated, Marjorie looked around but didn't see West. She gestured to a nearby waitress.

The waitress came over with a smile. "How can I help you?"

Marjorie got straight to the point. "I need to see your boss. I'm a friend of his."

The waitress frowned slightly, but hearing that the customer was a friend of the boss, she couldn't refuse. She smiled and said, "Please wait a moment."

West had just arrived at the restaurant and was about to change when the waitress ran up to say a friend was looking for him.

Without giving it much thought, West followed the waitress to a private room on the second floor.

The moment he saw Marjorie, West stopped abruptly in the doorway, refusing to enter.

He didn't want to deal with her, but she had come all the way to The Tasting Room.

"You were looking for me?" West's tone was polite but distant.

Marjorie met West's cold gaze, and a sharp pain shot through her chest.

Remembering her purpose, she suppressed her emotions and managed a warm, gentle smile.

"West, I couldn't reach you, so I came to The Tasting Room to find you. Please forgive my boldness. Come in, let's talk."

West's expression immediately hardened, and he took a step back.

"If you're here to eat, you're welcome. If it's for anything else, I'm afraid I can't help you. There's nothing for us to discuss. Don't overstep." With that, West turned to leave.

"Wait!"

Just as he turned, Marjorie quickly called out to him. She stepped out of the private room and stopped about three steps away from him.

Not wanting to disturb the other customers, West reluctantly turned back.
