Abandoned by All I Took It All Back novel Chapter 342

His face was grimy, his hair was long, and he had a beard.

“I remember. You’ve saved me again. By the way, where are we? Do you have a phone? I need to call the police.”

There was no time for catching up. Janina just wanted to get away from this place and make sure her kidnappers were caught. Her own phone was gone, likely taken by them.

“Yeah,” the man said, nodding.

He pulled out a phone, but it wouldn't turn on.

“Sorry,” he said apologetically. “Must have gotten waterlogged. It’s dead.”

“This place is too dangerous. Let’s get out of here first. We can find someone to help once we’re further away,” Janina said, not dwelling on the phone.

“What’s your name? I can’t keep calling you ‘little beggar’,” the man’s voice sounded beside her.

Janina looked at him. “I’m Janina. What’s yours?”

“My name is… Able Tam. Both times we’ve met, you’ve been in some serious trouble. Did you get on someone’s bad side?” Able Tam asked, studying her.

“You could say that. We can talk about it later. Let’s just focus on escaping and calling the police.”

Meanwhile, back at the shack, John Grant and Dylan were still fast asleep.

A man wearing a surgical mask had just entered the yard.

A sudden gust of wind knocked over a flowerpot, which shattered on the ground with a loud bang.

The sound startled John and Dylan awake. They immediately grabbed their makeshift weapons and stormed outside, assuming Janina had escaped.

But when they got out, they saw a man standing there.

“Where is she?” the man’s voice was low, carrying a chilling authority.

John recognized him and breathed a sigh of relief. “She’s inside. What took you so long?”

The man didn’t answer. He was carrying a medical case.

Dylan understood at once. This was the man they had been waiting for. He stepped forward.
