Abandoned by All I Took It All Back novel Chapter 397

West forced himself to calm down. He couldn't provoke Marjorie now; she was in a frenzy, and reasoning with her would be like talking to a brick wall.

He had to keep her stable and look for a chance to escape. No one was coming to save him.

West glanced at the bodyguards standing outside the door, and his heart sank further. They all looked like trained fighters.

He took a deep breath and softened his tone.

“Put the knife down first. I can’t run anywhere with all these people here. Why don’t we sit down and talk properly? Did you… did you bring me here just to hurt me?”

At his words, Marjorie’s intense gaze flickered.

The pressure from the dagger lessened slightly.

“How could I ever hurt you? I love you more than anything, West. I did all this because I love you. I can’t live without you, and I can’t stand the thought of you with someone else.”

Her eyes were filled with a feverish, obsessive adoration.

Her stare made West’s skin crawl.

“But we’re in the past, Marjorie. We can’t go back. Let Clark go. If he dies, you’ll go to prison. You don’t want to spend the rest of your life locked up, do you?”

West quickly tried to change the subject, searching for a way to get the bodyguards out of the picture.

“Don’t worry, I won’t go to prison. And he has to die. He made me suffer so much. He deserves a little torture before the end.”

Marjorie lowered the dagger. Just as West had said, she wasn’t worried about him escaping.

With so many bodyguards, no one was getting out.

West remained slumped on the floor, an uncontrollable heat spreading through his body. He suddenly realized something.

“What did you do to me? You’ve already captured me. What more do you want?”

After they were done, she would kill herself and take West with her. That way, they would be together forever, even in hell.

She wouldn't allow anyone to have West. No one but her.

The bodyguards withdrew to another room and started to eat and drink. On the table were several cases of beer and a spread of food.

Marjorie had prepared it for them, along with some playing cards to pass the time after their meal.

One of the guards stared at the food but didn't touch his utensils. He stopped the others as well.

“Doesn’t this woman seem like a total psycho to you? We should be careful. I say we don’t eat or drink anything tonight. We get our money tomorrow and get out. Better safe than sorry.”

The man who had been about to grab some food froze, his hand hovering in mid-air before he pulled it back.

“You’re overthinking it. The guy hanging outside is almost dead, and the one inside is drugged. Given how crazy she is, she’s not letting him go. She’s in the same boat as us now. What could she possibly do to us?”
