The first runway show concluded.

Janina led her three friends backstage.

The next showcase was for Yvonne's Nexora brand. Janina had to wait for that show to end; she wasn't about to sacrifice her own moment to make way for Yvonne.

Janina told her friends about what might happen tonight.

Upon hearing the news, her friends immediately flared up.

"I really don't get it. How can someone of Yvonne's caliber even compete with Nina? No matter how strong her connections are, if she doesn't have the talent, the audience won't buy it. Does she really think everyone revolves around her like Julius does? She's delusional!"

Maggie was furious that Janina's show was being treated as a mere warm-up for Yvonne's. Was it fair to be treated differently just because you didn't have powerful backing?

Melody casually took off her earrings.

"She has connections, what can you do? But don't worry. I've seen the sketches for her clothes. They can't compare to Meridian in any way. If she thinks she can establish herself in this industry, she's dreaming!"

Wendy, seemingly distracted, was typing on her phone, but she was listening with one ear, occasionally chiming in.

Just after the runway show ended, she had checked her phone.

Finch had called her over thirty times and sent dozens of messages. Thinking something was wrong, she immediately called him back.

But as soon as he answered, Finch's tone was harsh, blaming her for not picking up or replying.

She explained that she had just finished walking the runway and her phone was locked in a dressing room locker, so she hadn't heard it.

But Finch refused to listen to any of her explanations.

She could tell he was genuinely angry.

The host on stage was talking with a man, and indeed, there was no sign of the second show starting.

"Maybe she didn't have the guts to go on? After all, the first act set a high bar. If she can't measure up to Nina, she'll be the one humiliated today."

She made a joking comment before turning her attention back to changing her clothes.

Janina didn't have the energy to worry about whether Yvonne was having her show or not. She needed to change out of this outfit quickly, as she had to go back on stage later.

She didn't believe for a second that Yvonne would let the night pass so peacefully. She was sure to pull some kind of stunt.

Janina was right.

At that very moment, Yvonne was talking to Julius about suspending the Nexora brand's show.

Meridian's designs were too outstanding, each one a masterpiece. If Yvonne showcased Nexora now, it would be the end of the brand's future.
