You get attached to pets you’ve had for a few years, let alone a person.
But if that person tried to bite him, he wouldn't hesitate to put them down.
Someone had already called the police, but Julius wasn't about to let Hamlin off that easily. He had nearly gotten Liam and Joy killed. Just sending him to the police station was too lenient.
"Grandfather, I'm taking Hamlin downstairs for a moment. I'll hand him over to the police when they arrive."
Old Mr. Aurelius immediately sensed something was wrong. He knew his grandson all too well.
"He'll be punished in prison. Why do you need to get involved? After all, he's been with me for decades. He's earned some consideration for his years of service, if not for his deeds."
Julius sneered. "I just want him to feel a little pain. Don't worry, Grandfather. It won't be fatal."
"Are you defying me? You won't even listen to me anymore?"
Old Mr. Aurelius stood up, his anger flaring.
"He's over fifty years old. He can't take much of a beating. Let the law punish him!"
Julius didn't say a word, just gave Wayne a look.
Wayne understood instantly and dragged Hamlin away.
"Grandfather, I have other business to attend to. I'm leaving now. Take care."
With that, Julius followed them out.
Old Mr. Aurelius was helpless. He sank back into his chair with a heavy sigh and waved a weary hand, dismissing everyone.
The others couldn't wait to leave, and the room emptied quickly.
As soon as they were outside, they heard Hamlin's agonizing screams coming from a nearby room.
Twenty minutes later, Hamlin was taken away by the police, where he would face the full penalty of the law.
