Abandoned by All I Took It All Back novel Chapter 494

Leda leaned back in her chair, her gaze sweeping over everyone before returning to West.

“My words might be a bit blunt, but I don’t think either of us should waste time on unnecessary conversation. Besides, we’re not young anymore. We don’t have time for a long, drawn-out romance.”

“If it’s agreeable, we could get our marriage license first. I want to have a child of my own this year. As you know, for a woman, getting older makes childbirth more difficult. I’ve even been told that this is my year to have a child, and if I wait too long, I might miss my chance.”

Leda’s speech left everyone stunned into silence.

They had seen direct people before, but never this direct.

They had only just met, and she was already talking about having children!

As parents, Grace and Ethan’s minds started turning. It was rare to see a woman be so straightforward. She was a bit older, but that was a minor issue. As long as the two of them got along, that was what mattered most.

However, their son’s wishes were their top priority.

All eyes fell on West, waiting to see how he would respond.

West simply raised an eyebrow and replied with a teasing smile.

“Miss Renata, you certainly are direct. You’ve almost left me speechless. But this is our first time meeting. Are you so sure I’m the right person? Isn’t that a bit rash? Marriage is a major commitment, not something you do just to have a child.”

A small smile played on Leda’s lips. She understood what West was getting at and gave him a confident, composed smile.

A powerhouse of a woman was truly different. Just sitting there, her presence was immense.

Leda shifted in her seat, but kept her legs crossed. She took a slow sip of water.

“Feelings can be cultivated. Plenty of people fall in love after getting married, and they live happily, don’t they? I believe that with our qualifications, if we just give each other a chance, we can definitely create some sparks.”

A confident, self-assured curve formed on her lips.

“We are both exceptional people. We will naturally be drawn to each other, not repelled. I think we are a perfect match in every way. You run The Tasting Room, you have business acumen. I manage a company, and I have my own abilities. A power couple. Wouldn’t that be wonderful?”
