Abandoned by All I Took It All Back novel Chapter 521

Janina let go of the rope.

The dog, now unleashed, bolted like a wild horse.

Finch watched in horror as Molly charged toward him. He hadn't even managed to scramble to his feet before the dog was on him, knocking him flat on his back.

Molly started by tearing furiously at his clothes and pants.

Pinned to the ground, Finch struggled desperately, but what could an injured man do against a powerful animal like Molly?

In no time, his clothes were shredded to pieces, leaving him completely exposed.

Then, a strange flicker of what looked almost like affection appeared in the dog's fierce eyes.

Instead of sinking its teeth into his flesh, it began to playfully, yet roughly, torment him.

Janina, Maggie, and Melody felt a knot of fear in their stomachs. This was the first time they had ever done something so wicked.

Despite the lingering chill in the air, their backs were slick with cold sweat.

A moment of doubt had hit them earlier when they were pulling Finch from the pit. They had considered just leaving him for the police. Let him rot in prison; a criminal like him would surely be tormented by other inmates.

But then they remembered what Finch had done to Wendy Clifford, and the horrific methods of The Obsidian Circle. Any trace of pity they might have felt vanished in an instant.

Within The Obsidian Circle, anyone who was lured in and showed the slightest disobedience was punished.

And their punishments were monstrous, rivaling the worst of the criminal underworld.

Their cruelty knew no bounds; there was no depravity they wouldn't inflict.

What they were doing to Finch now was merely the mildest form of punishment used by The Obsidian Circle.

Some followers, in their blind faith, had even self-immolated in public, taking their families with them. To them, life was meaningless.

The Obsidian Circle preached about ascending to heaven.

It was a sick joke.

She couldn’t understand how anyone could be brainwashed so completely. The fact that their leader was also from Valerium was shocking. She was sure Finch’s appearance would be a pleasant surprise for the police.

The authorities still hadn't caught their leader, a man named Victor Thorne. Maybe, just maybe, they could use Finch to lure him out.

But before they handed Finch over to the police, he had to get the punishment he deserved.

“Do you think Molly might lose control? She’s got him completely pinned down,” Melody stammered, swallowing hard as she watched the chaotic struggle between man and dog.

“If she loses control, it’ll just mean a little more pain for him. He won’t die,” Janina said, her gaze fixed on Finch, who was still fighting for his life.
