Just as Janina handed the file to the police, Yvonne stumbled into the room, supported by two nurses.

She was still in her hospital gown, her back hunched. The C-section incision clearly hadn't healed, and her face was as white as paper.

"You're lying!" she cried out. "Officer, please don't believe a word this woman says. She's a compulsive liar."

Though her voice was weak, her words were sharp and clear.

Seeing Yvonne's frail state, Elena rushed to her side, her eyes filled with pain and concern. "Yvonne, why are you here? Your wound hasn't healed yet. Julius and I have this under control, don't worry. Go back to the hospital and rest. I won't let you suffer."

Elena gently patted her hand, her gaze full of motherly affection. It was the first time Janina had ever seen Elena be so tender with a daughter-in-law.

Julius stood frozen in place, his face a dark storm cloud, his thoughts unreadable.

The police took the file from Janina and studied it for a long time, their brows furrowed.

The lead officer finally looked up at Janina, his tone laced with a hint of resignation. "Ms. Holt, most of what you've provided here is circumstantial evidence. For example, the kidnapping in Seacrest, and the poisoning of your family and children. The file has hospital diagnoses and a description of events, but no direct evidence pointing to Miss Moore."

He paused, then turned to the pale-faced Yvonne. "Miss Moore, do you have anything to say in response to Ms. Holt's accusations?"

Yvonne leaned against Elena, her voice weak and filled with a sense of grievance. "Officer, I truly didn't do anything. Kidnapping, poisoning… just thinking about such things terrifies me. How could I possibly do something so wicked? Janina just hates me, so she's throwing all this mud on me."

Elena immediately jumped in. "That's right, officer! You can't just take her word for it! She can't stand seeing our Yvonne happy, so she's deliberately causing trouble!"

Julius remained silent, but the way he looked at Yvonne was now laced with a complex mix of emotions.
