After I Stopped Loving Him novel Chapter 1001

She didn’t want them to leave, but they’d already made up their minds. What was she supposed to do now? Was she really supposed to silence every single person who knew the truth?

After agonizing over it, Natalie could only come clean to her husband.

Jordan’s voice was low. “You had a hundred ways to make her pay. Why’d you have to get your own hands dirty? You… you just lost your head!”

“She’s gone, isn’t she? She walked out with nothing—not a penny to her name and nowhere to go. If we wanted, we could have ruined her in Cabinda, made it so she couldn’t even beg on the streets. Wouldn’t that be enough? Wouldn’t that feel good?”

“Natalie, Ethan and Isabella are divorced. That’s because of us. They’re not a couple anymore. We don’t have to worry about Ethan defending her. From now on, he’s only going to be loyal to you. We already won. There was no reason to go this far. To actually take her life… So what do we do now?”

Jordan never imagined his wife had been hiding so much from him.

No wonder Natalie had been so secretive for a while, sneaking around, meeting people in secret. He just hadn’t put it all together. She’d been setting Isabella up this whole time.

Natalie looked at him, her voice cold and matter-of-fact. “Jordan, you’re being too naïve. Ethan already cared about Isabella. If we hadn’t been in the way, they wouldn’t have been fighting so much. They might have actually been happy. Even though they’re divorced now, Ethan will start to regret it. And once he does, he’ll want her back.”

“I wasn’t about to let that happen. Isabella had to be out of the picture for good. Only if she’s gone completely will Ethan stay unattached. His love, his attention, it’ll all be mine. And with him on our side, imagine what we could get out of it. I did this for us, for our future.”
