Chapter 1099

Joseph had lost all patience.

Before, he’d thought this secretary was easy on the eyes and pleasant enough to have around.

Now, she seemed like a block of woodutterly useless, needing instructions repeated several times before getting anything done.

Seeing that he was truly angry, the secretary quickly gathered up the pieces of the broken phone and started for the door.

Alright, sir, I’ll bring the documents over right away.

Don’t worry, I’ll find everything in detail. If our company has it, I’ll make sure you get it.

Joseph gave a curt Mm.He knew his own company well enough.

Go get to work. I want those documents delivered to me shortly.

The secretary nodded quickly and, before long, returned with the files.

Only then did Joseph’s expression ease slightly.

He looked at the contract he had previously negotiated with Danieloriginally set at ten percent.

Now, with Daniel demanding an extra five percent, that meant the profit would be cut from his own company’s share.

Which in turn meant they’d be making almost nothing, handing all the gains over to Daniel.

Thinking of this made Joseph clench his fists.

If that was the case, then even if he secured the project, all his work would have been for nothingjust making a wedding dress for someone else to wear.

What would be the point?

His expression grew darker. Daniel’s greed was simply outrageous.

He wasn’t willing to leave the Hunt Enterprises with even the smallest share of the profit.

In a low voice, Joseph ordered, Send someone to keep an eye on Daniel tomorrow. See if he meets with Walton Corporation.

The secretary looked slightly surprised. Alright, I understand. I’ll arrange it right away.

She knew Joseph had always valued this project.

She just hadn’t expected things to escalate to this point.

How had Walton Corporation gotten involved in the first place?

Could it be that Daniel was now going back on his word?

The secretary couldn’t help feeling a little regret on her boss’s behalf at the thought.

She had seen firsthand how much effort her boss had poured into this project.

And now it might all go to waste. If it were her, she would be furiouspossibly even with a worse temper

than her bossnow.

Her gaze toward Joseph began to carry a trace of sympathy.

But Joseph was unaware of this.

All he felt was that the mess in front of him was leaving him completely exasperated.

And on top of that, he hadn’t properly handled things with Judy.

Looking at the photos the paparazzi had sent over, his anger flared even higher.
