Chapter 1281
But now that she had left to run her own studio, she rarely returned to the Walton household. She hadn’t expected Grace to be the one to reach out first.
Aurora was in the middle of a meeting with Ian and Megan when Megan noticed her drifting off, puzzled as to why Aurora suddenly seemed distracted.
Seeing her stare at a message in a daze, Megan asked curiously, “What’s wrong? Weren’t we just discussing Mr. Lewis’s project?”
Since Daniel was entrusting the project to them, they needed to take it seriously and work out the follow–up details.
Besides, the project had already been delayed nearly a month, and from here on the timeline would only get tighter.
“It’s nothing, just someone suddenly sent me a message.” Aurora feigned a casual tone.
But inside, she couldn’t stop wondering why Grace would text her and what she wanted to talk about.
Ian noticed Aurora’s mind was no longer on the meeting, and at this point, keeping it going would be pointless.
He spoke up. “Anyway, we’ve already gone through most of it. Why don’t we continue tomorrow?”
“I agree!” Megan said eagerly.
She had already been restless, and since the main points were covered, there was no reason to linger. She’d rather get on with something else.
Seeing that both Ian and Megan agreed, Aurora knew there was no point in dragging it out.
“Alright, let’s leave it here for now.” She tidied the desk and reminded them once more of the meeting’s importance.
When it ended, Megan asked if Aurora wanted to go out to eat.
But Aurora shook her head and declined. “Forget it, I still have things to do.”
