Chapter 1317
“Do you really think that’ll work?”
Lucas was doubtful of Desmond’s taste.
After all, Aurora wasn’t an ordinary woman.
He knew about those gestures already; it wasn’t as if he’d never come across them.
But how could Aurora be compared to such clichés?

Desmond, however, patted his chest with absolute confidence. “As long as she’s a woman, there’s no way she won’t like these things.”
Seeing that Lucas was still skeptical, he quickly added, “All right, if you still don’t believe me, I’ll combine what I find online with my own experience and put together a full–on Wife–Chasing Guide for you.”
“A guide?”
“A Wife–Chasing Guide!” Desmond enunciated each word clearly, as if to emphasize its importance.
Lucas was left speechless. Was that really reliable?

forgives me, I’ll make sure you get a raise.”
The expectation in Desmond’s eyes instantly turned into pure joy, plain as day.
He had been waiting half the morning for that very promise. How could he not be thrilled to hear it?
After careful thought, he still came back to the same conclusion: sincerity was the ultimate weapon.
“So, Mr. Carter, you absolutely have to explain to Mrs. Carter why you hid the truth in the first place. And just as important, you have to show the right attitude.”
