But Lucas only smiled without saying a word, because he could tell he hadn’t actually done much. She just needed an outlet, and his words had only given her a little push.

He could see that Aurora genuinely wanted to mend her relationship with her mother. Every time she stood before Grace, there was always a faint trace of sorrow on her face.

It was obvious that, in those moments, she must have been thinking about her own mother–that was why that look appeared.
