Chapter 1409
Did that mean Aurora had already grown used to his presence?
“I’ve never stopped being attached to you,” she whispered, holding him tightly. “Actually… I’ve known all along that we met back in high school.”
Lucas froze, caught off guard.
“How did you know that? I’m sure I never told you.”
He loosened his arms around her, his eyes widening as his heartbeat quickened.
So, she’d known all this time? For so long, he’d been wondering how to tell her or whether he should just keep it buried forever.
If he suddenly brought it up after all this time, wouldn’t it seem like he was bragging?
In Aurora’s eyes, wouldn’t that make him look insincere?
That was why he’d chosen to stay quiet, leaving it to fate. If she remembered someday, fine. If not, it didn’t
matter.
He never expected this moment to come–that she’d be the one to bring it up.
The joy that surged through him felt almost ridiculous, like winning the lottery.
“I only found out by accident,” Aurora admitted, still sounding a little dazed.
“What do you mean?” Lucas asked, confused.
Why would she say it like that, as if she was surprised by the discovery?
Had someone else told her?
Aside from that, he couldn’t think of any other possibility.
But Aurora looked at Lucas with a solemn expression, her eyes steady and serious. “Do you believe it’s possible for someone to return to the past in a dream?”
Lucas blinked, “What?”
He was completely thrown off, but seeing how earnest she looked, he eventually nodded and said with equal seriousness, “If it’s you saying it, then I believe it.”
Aurora smiled faintly. “If that’s what you think, then I’m glad.”
She paused before explaining, “Do you remember the time when I was bedridden for a month because of Julian?”
“How could I ever forget?”
At the mention of that, a cold light flashed in Lucas‘ eyes. He would never forget that darkest month of his life.
During that time, Aurora had been unresponsive, and he’d spent his days beside her, watching over what felt like a lifeless body.
