Aurora Walton and Lucas Carter novel Chapter 1642

Hearing that, Megan immediately cut in. “What’s there to talk about? You should just go home.”

“I wasn’t talking to you.”

Yvonne’s tone was icy. She brushed a hand through her curls and looked down at Megan from above.

Her height alone gave her a natural advantage, while Megan’s petite frame made her seem even smaller in comparison.

Aurora, however, was different. She was tall too, but her presence was cool and composed rather than forceful.

She stepped forward, placing herself between Megan and Yvonne, shielding her from Yvonne’s cold, superior stare.

“If you have something to say, then say it here, in front of everyone.”

She had no interest in speaking to Yvonne alone. After all, those fake intimate photos online still left a bitter taste.

And Aurora knew perfectly well that without Yvonne’s permission, those so-called fans never would’ve dared post them.

It all traced back to Yvonne. Aurora wasn’t foolish enough to miss that.

But Yvonne’s voice dropped lower. “Let’s talk privately. There are too many people here. I’ll tell you everything you want to know.”

“How do we know you’re not planning something again?”

Megan’s suspicion was written all over her face. Every time she looked at Yvonne, all she could think about was the chaos she’d caused online.

Even after all these years of working with her cousin, Yvonne had never managed to win him over.

That alone proved he had no interest in her.

Yet she still clung to him shamelessly, refusing to let go—proof she had no sense of dignity left.

The thought made Megan’s temper flare.

“Just seeing you irritates me. Maybe instead of stirring up trouble, you should think about how to fix that mess you made online.”

At the mention of the online scandal, Yvonne’s hands tightened into fists.
