Aurora Walton and Lucas Carter novel Chapter 1664

Aurora didn’t mention what had just happened. She simply walked over and placed the item she’d picked up back on the director’s desk as if nothing were out of place.

The director’s eyes flickered with embarrassment when he saw what he had thrown.

Had he known it was Aurora who walked in, he never would’ve lost his temper like that.

After all, she was also a victim in all this.

Ever since she joined the show, Yvonne had been making things difficult for her.

And now, Yvonne had gone and left without a word. No matter which production it happened to, such behavior was unforgivable.

Worse yet, she’d slipped away early in the morning, leaving no time for anyone to react.

The director hadn’t even had the chance to refuse or ask her to complete a proper handover.

The more he thought about it, the more his head ached.

Why did people these days have so little sense of responsibility?

Still, he sighed. None of this was Aurora’s fault.

Just as he’d thought from the start, she was another victim of the situation.

"I’m really sorry, Aurora," he said finally, his tone softening. "I didn’t mean to throw that at you earlier."

"It’s alright," Aurora said calmly. "I didn’t take it personally."

She pointed at the pen lying on the desk. "You might want to test that. Make sure it still works."

"Ah—no, it’s fine," the director replied awkwardly, clearly flustered.

He looked at her, trying to regain composure. "So, what brings you here?"

Outside, a few crew members peeked through the door, curious about what was happening.

They exchanged stunned looks.
