“You’ll still be the lady of the Cross Group.”
Natalie looked at Darren and found the idea laughable.
Being Mrs. Cross held no fond memories for her.
“Darren, don’t forget you promised that Hanley would apologize to Lucas and Liana when we got here.”
Darren was stunned. He had assumed Natalie would accept his offer and complete the signing ceremony with him.
With the Everhart Group’s ten-billion-dollar partnership, the Cross Group was guaranteed to prosper. How could she possibly reject him for Terence, a man who had been cast out by the Lockwood family?
Hearing Natalie’s words, Lucas and Liana felt a warmth spread through their chests. As expected, Natalie would never abandon them.
Darren said angrily, “Natalie, are you insane? Don’t you understand the situation? The Cross Group is about to be huge!”
“I don’t need you to analyze the situation for me. I just want you to keep your word. After all, integrity is the most important thing in business. You said that if we came here, you and Hanley would apologize to Lucas and Liana. Now, please fulfill your promise and apologize to them.”
A murmur went through the crowd. Natalie was publicly rejecting Darren and forcing him to have his son apologize to the Lockwood children.
Darren was about to lose his mind. The only thing she cared about right now was getting an apology for Lucas and Liana.
Did she have any grasp of the situation at all?
Angela was also taken aback. Even this wasn’t enough to sway Natalie.
Natalie turned to Angela. “Miss Everhart, the Everhart Group is investing ten billion dollars in the Cross Group. You don’t want that money to go down the drain, do you?”
