Divorce Failed My Wife's Secret Identities Shock the World novel Chapter 1031

Maeve wanted to keep explaining, but Titus Reed clamped a hand on her shoulder.

"I need to speak with him alone," Titus said.

Maeve was more than happy to wash her hands of this mess.

"Fine, you two chat. I'll get out of your hair."

Titus pointed a finger toward the inner bedroom.

"Go get some rest."

Maeve's face scrunched up in defiance. "Titus, I'm not even tired."

He wasn't having it. "You are."

Maeve stared at him.

Whoever invented older brothers had clearly designed them as a form of sheer torture.

She shot Andres White a desperate SOS look, silently begging him to help her escape.

Had it been anyone else, Andres wouldn't have hesitated to put them in their place.

But this was Maeve's brother. He had to show some respect.

Besides, judging by their banter, it was obvious the siblings actually had a solid relationship.

It proved that, deep down, she respected Titus as a good brother; otherwise, she would never have submitted so meekly.

"Maeve, I actually agree. A nice afternoon nap sounds perfect for you right now," Andres said smoothly.

She was absolutely speechless.

She thought Andres would back her up, but he completely threw her under the bus at the critical moment.

Under their combined pressure, Maeve reluctantly shuffled into the bedroom Titus had designated for her.

To be fair, the massive king bed was incredibly comfortable, and it didn't take long for her to hug a pillow and drift off to sleep.

Out in the presidential suite's living room, both Andres and Titus had dismissed their respective bodyguards.

Titus sized Andres up for a long moment before finally breaking the silence.

"Mr. White. Your reputation precedes you."

Andres's commanding presence didn't waver in the slightest.
