Divorce Failed My Wife's Secret Identities Shock the World novel Chapter 105

Murray was a blunt instrument. "Doesn't matter if my analogy's perfect. What matters is, in Miss Vance's head, that's exactly how it looks."

When it came to love, girls were all a little possessive. No one could stomach the idea that the man they wanted still had room in his heart for somebody else.

Hans cleared his throat. "If that's true, we've got a problem."

For the first time, Andres felt a very real urge to punt both of his right-hand men clear across the room.

He shot Hans a hard look. "A girl who claims she grew up in the sticks knows acupuncture, can fight, and even the helicopter we found at an abandoned base—she can fix it and fly it."

"Explain to me why none of that was in the background report you gave me."

Hans went blank, words sticking in his throat.

He'd looked. He just hadn't been able to find anything.

Andres turned on Murray next. "And the eight bodyguards you handpicked for my boat—so alert they didn't even notice Lincoln sneaking onboard."

"We got lucky and walked away this time. You think we'll be that lucky next time?"

Guilt flashed across Murray's face. "Mr. White, I'll redo the entire training plan the moment we're back. I'll—"

Andres cut him off with an impatient wave. "Get out."

Murray and Hans didn't need to be told twice. They were halfway to the door when Andres spoke again.

"Hans. You—stay."

Compared to Murray, Hans at least had a brain. He stepped back, stopping in front of Andres. "Yes, Mr. White?"

Andres asked, "What exactly did Maeve say to you?"

When the helicopter lifted off, Andres vaguely remembered Maeve making a call—one of them to Hans.

Hans immediately understood what his boss was really asking.

"Miss Vance called to ask for the best landing site. She also said your leg was injured, and told me to have medical staff ready for a rescue."
