Divorce Failed My Wife's Secret Identities Shock the World novel Chapter 107

In the space of two days, Luka's reputation among peers and subordinates became a punchline. Several deals collapsed almost immediately.

So he turned all that rage on Isla.

The couple's screaming matches shook the villa. The staff lingered outside doors, pretending to work while straining to catch every word—because gossip was the only thing richer than the décor.

After spitting out, "Just wait. You'll see," Luka stormed out, slamming the door so hard the walls seemed to flinch.

In the master bedroom, Isla—fresh from taking two hard slaps—cupped her swollen cheek and cried into her palms.

Anya had seen her parents fight more times than she could count. She never stepped in.

But after her father left, she slipped into the room, holding out a packet of tissues.

"Mom, stop crying," Anya said quietly. "The staff are outside waiting to laugh. Your tears are just material for their coffee-break conversations."

Anya despised her father's cheating.

But her mother turning it into a public brawl had created its own mess—one that splashed onto Anya too.

She still couldn't forget the cruise ship guests watching the giant screen—their faces twisted with ridicule as the footage played: her father cheating, her mother swinging.

Isla wiped at her tears, her voice turning sharp. "I want that bitch ruined."

Anya gave a short, humorless laugh. "She's a salesgirl. Is she really worth you destroying the perfect image you've spent years maintaining?"

"Mom, you've been feeding me the same lesson since I was a kid: if you see the right partner, you take them—no matter the cost. Even if they're married."

"When you picked Dad, wasn't it because of his background? Didn't you do whatever it took to break up his last marriage so you could become Mrs. Morales?"

She smoothed her mother's disheveled hair, almost tenderly. "There are two kinds of women in this world."

"The first will starve for love."

"The second will share a man for comfort."

"She vanished. And her only child ended up in the middle of nowhere, suffering for years."

Even if Maeve had come back with honors and credentials, in Anya's eyes she was still the same thing:

a loser.

Her daughter's words hit Isla like ice water.

Isla had been so furious she'd forgotten why she married Luka in the first place.

Luka had always been a notorious flirt. In his last marriage, he hadn't cheated with just one woman.

Back then, Isla had fought like hell—schemed, smiled, and clawed her way into this family until she finally wore the name.

She couldn't throw all of it away in a moment of rage.
