Divorce Failed My Wife's Secret Identities Shock the World novel Chapter 113

Sarah looked like she wanted to shake her. "What is wrong with you? You don't even know how many properties your family has?"

"I mean the old place off the Beltway. You once told me your dad bought it as an investment, but it's been sitting empty for years."

With that, Anya finally remembered. "Oh—that place. Yeah, it's ours. What about it?"

The Morales family owned plenty of property, most of it in prime neighborhoods downtown.

That old house was remote, rundown, and forgettable. Anya had basically erased it from memory.

Sarah smiled, all sugar. "Here's the thing. A few days ago I messed up and made Landon mad. He's been ignoring me, and if this keeps going, a breakup is inevitable."

"You know how it is—if the Foster family and the Hart family weren't old family friends, and if Landon didn't listen to his elders, I probably wouldn't even have a chance with him."

Sarah chasing Landon had never been a secret in their circle.

Anya listened with a polite face and a cold laugh inside.

She still hadn't forgotten what happened at 1908—the public humiliation. Sarah had fanned the flames, and Landon had sat there and done nothing.

The Foster family and the Hart family were both families Anya couldn't afford to offend. So she'd swallowed it and pretended it never happened.

Sarah continued, "To smooth things over with Landon, I want to give him a real gift. And that gift... is your family's old house."

Anya blinked. "Did I hear you correctly? You want to take my family's property and use it to win back your boyfriend?"

Sarah rushed to add, "Not for free. Whatever the market price is, name it. I won't short you a cent."
