Divorce Failed My Wife's Secret Identities Shock the World novel Chapter 1154

Murray's reminder jolted Andres's memory; Maeve had indeed mentioned that before leaving the house this morning.

He urgently ordered Murray to turn the car around and speed straight toward Benjamin's villa.

Andres simultaneously called Benjamin, desperately asking if Maeve was with him.

But when it rains, it pours.

Benjamin's phone had been ringing just a moment ago, but suddenly the automated voice stated the device was powered off.

Maeve had no idea that Andres was currently losing his mind trying to track her down.

Benjamin was equally unaware that his phone, left completely unattended in his bedroom, had been called so many times by Andres that the battery had completely died.

Back at the villa, Maeve chatted warmly with Benjamin and Daisy for a bit before realizing she didn't have her phone.

Nine times out of ten, she had left it in the car again.

She stood up to leave, and Benjamin and Daisy walked her to the door.

Looking at Maeve's growing baby bump, Daisy offered some parting advice.

"Next time you head out, you should really bring someone with you. And try to stay out of the lab for a while. Being around all those chemicals isn't good for the baby."

Laughing and chatting, the group stepped out of the villa's main gates.

Maeve's car was parked less than thirty feet away.

"No need to walk me any further, you two head back inside," Maeve said.

She jingled her keys and waved at them. "I'm heading out."

Benjamin and Daisy watched as Maeve strolled over to her car. Just as her hand grasped the door handle, the ear-piercing screech of tires tore through the air.

It was The White Family's motorcade.

Before the vehicle had even come to a full stop, Andres threw the door open and leaped out like a man possessed.

"Maeve, someone planted a bomb in your car!"

The screeching tires had been so deafening that Maeve didn't quite catch what he said.

"What did you say?"
