Divorce Failed My Wife's Secret Identities Shock the World novel Chapter 127

Andres lowered his head and brushed a kiss to Maeve’s forehead. “I’ve got to step out for a bit,” he murmured. “Wait up for me.”

The moment he left the bedroom, the smile vanished from his face like it had never been there.

Murray had been waiting outside for a long time. He leaned in and kept his voice down. “Mr. White, the car’s ready.”

Andres didn’t answer. He and Murray left the villa one after the other.

Half an hour later, with Murray and more than a dozen bodyguards in tow, Andres arrived at a private black-site holding room the White family kept off the books.

At night, the place felt wrong—dark corners, damp air, and screams that didn’t stop once they started.

The guards on either side called out in unison, voices ringing with practiced force. “Mr. White!”

Surrounded by his men, Andres walked in with the cold composure of a king after midnight.

The stench of blood hit him head-on. He pulled a handkerchief from his pocket and covered his nose.

He’d seen plenty of scenes like this. He still hated the smell.

“Mr. White—you’re here!”

A young man—mid-twenties, maybe—strode over carrying a long whip stained dark. He was Robert White, the man in charge of this place… and Andres’s cousin.

Murray stepped in front of Andres at once, warning him. “Keep that thing back. Don’t get Mr. White’s clothes dirty.”

Robert froze, realizing he’d overstepped. He hurriedly tossed the whip aside; one of his men caught it cleanly.

“Sorry, Mr. White. I didn’t mean—”

Andres’s shirts were almost always pure white—crisp, immaculate, not a wrinkle in sight. The kind of perfection that made people straighten their backs without knowing why.

Andres didn’t care about the small stuff. “Did you get anything useful?”
