Divorce Failed My Wife's Secret Identities Shock the World novel Chapter 147

Andres had read the file Hans compiled. Ansel was a spoiled rich kid with a long history of hurting innocent girls—enough that a few deaths were tied to him, directly or indirectly.

But what Andres found hardest to stomach was this: the little monster had taken a special interest in Maeve's kidney.

No wonder Maeve wanted nothing to do with the Morales family. Anyone would lose their mind if their own relatives were constantly eyeing their organs like spare parts.

Maeve quickly gave Andres a warning look. "That man can't die by your hand or mine."

Andres pinched her cheek. "You're overthinking it. I don't do anything illegal."

The moment they stepped through the front doors of Azure Bay Villa, Andres got a call from Michael. Lincoln—now in custody—had requested to see Andres during interrogation.

"Lincoln wants to see me?"

Whatever Michael said on the other end made Andres nod. "Fine. You set the time. Let me know."

He hung up and looked to Maeve. "Do you think I should go?"

As someone who'd lived through the cruise nightmare, he genuinely wanted her take.

Maeve gave a small laugh. "White family business. Not my place."

Andres slid an arm around her waist and pulled her down onto the couch with him. "We're family. No need to talk like strangers."

Remi approached with a tea tray—and froze.

Not only were Andres and Maeve sitting pressed together like lovers, she'd also heard every word of "we're family."

It had only been a few days. And Mr. Andres was already this far gone for that fox?

Jealousy curdled in her chest. She set the tray down with a sharp thud.

The impact jolted the teapot. A few drops splashed onto Maeve's forearm.
