Divorce Failed My Wife's Secret Identities Shock the World novel Chapter 252

"With conservative treatment, she falls into a coma every couple of weeks from fever or infection."

"This isn't the first time. Each episode is dangerous, and every time we have to prepare ourselves for the possibility she won't wake up."

The other doctors nodded along.

From a medical standpoint, Dr. Foster wasn't wrong.

Molly, standing off to the side, added with thinly veiled sarcasm, "From what you're saying, Miss Vance, you have a better plan?"

Maeve didn't even glance at her.

She looked at Andres instead. "What do you want?"

Andres's expression turned grave. "I want my mom to live a long life. I want her to be okay."

Maeve's gaze held steady. "Will you trust me—just once?"

Andres didn't hesitate. He nodded. "Yes."

Maeve took out a pen she carried with her. With a flick of her fingers, a small, unwrapped white pill shot from the pen barrel into her palm.

She didn't bother disguising what it was. "A rapid-response fever reducer. Her fever will break completely within twenty minutes."

"Only catch is—it isn't on the market yet."

This wasn't the first time Andres had heard her say something like that.

During the cruise incident, she'd given him experimental meds twice. The effect had been immediate—almost unreal.

Afterward, he'd gotten checked three different times just to be sure. Every test said the same thing: it worked, and it left nothing behind.

Dr. Foster's composure cracked. "Miss Vance, have some basic sense. Giving an unapproved drug to a patient is illegal."
