Juniper kept her head down and ate her fruit, pretending she didn't know anything. Playing with fire would only get her burned.
"I hear you're planning to catch me cheating at the weekend gala?" Shanley leaned in, lightly biting her earlobe as a form of punishment.
"Mhm." Juniper raised an eyebrow, the smile on her face fading a little, her red lips parting. "Some woman wants to climb into your bed, shouldn't I be allowed to catch her?"
"Fine." Shanley ruffled her long hair, his eyes full of gentle adoration. "If you want to play, go ahead and play. I already had Felton look into her. If you don't want to dirty your hands, let him handle it."
"When did you notice?" Juniper's clear eyes flicked up, a faint smile touching her lips.
"At the club." Shanley replied, resting his arm on the back of the chair, his tone tinged with disgust. "Getting surgery to look like you and throwing herself at me, she's got some nerve."
From the moment he walked in, her eyes had been glued to him. He hadn't dealt with it. Because he felt there was no need to dirty his hands or pollute his girl's eyes and ears. He didn't expect her to be so eager for a death wish.
"I've got nothing going on this weekend anyway. Might as well." Juniper smiled, the corners of her mouth curling up. "Taking out a knockoff is just a matter of convenience."
"Alright." Shanley nodded, his gaze still fixed on Juniper's face, his thin lips curving. "Anything else?"
"Anything else?" Juniper blinked, asking seriously. "Are there other knockoffs coming after you? Mass production?!"
Shanley had originally intended to discuss the whole "keeping pure" topic with her. Flint didn't have a filter, but she seemed to find it highly amusing.
Hmph! Once she caused him a serious problem, let's see if she'd still be smiling for the rest of her life.

At Eclara University.
Juniper got out of the car. Holding a sandwich, she ate as she walked toward the School of Computer Science.
Not long after, she suddenly noticed a crowd of students gathered nearby.
Anxious shouts reached her ears. "Is there anyone from the School of Medicine here? Someone passed out."
The School of Medicine and the School of Computer Science were separated by two main paths, quite a distance apart.
