"But honey, haven't you only been together—or fighting—for a year and a half?" Theia wasn't trying to stop her daughter from finding happiness; she just wanted to understand. Marriage wasn't a game, and she was terrified of Juniper getting hurt.

"We've been at each other's throats for over a year…" Juniper rested her chin on her hand, her clear eyes crinkling into a beautiful arc, a faint smile playing on her lips. "But if you really look at it, we've known each other much longer than that."

They really had crossed paths quite a few times over the years.

Hearing this, Theia's heart gave a nervous flutter.
