"Just bought it. Never worn," Jimmie said. "Go change in the restroom."

Luella hesitated, wondering if she should take it.

She wanted to draw a clean line, but if she didn't change... the spilled wine made her white shirt completely translucent, hinting at her sports bra underneath.

She took the bag and instinctively walked toward the women's room.

She stopped dead in her tracks at the door.

Spinning around, she saw him watching her with a deep frown.

After running her fingers through her messy hair, she took two deep breaths in front of the mirror and bravely opened the door.

The inner door was open. The people who were talking seemed to have left.

"How much was it? I'll wire you the money," she said with a fake smile.

"No need."

He was still pissed about her ghosting him, his tone low and brooding. "My agent had to leave early. I don't have a ride home."

"Are you saying... you want me to drive you?" Her smile vanished.

"What else?"

Jimmie frowned, his thin lips pressing into a hard line. "I saved your life. Giving me a lift is the least you could..."
