His sister, Willow Quinn, was ten years younger than him. She had studied abroad and was known for a fiery personality and a tongue so sharp she’d probably curse out a passing dog.
The second pair was the popular singer, Jasper Sutton, twenty-five. His sister, Jiana Sutton, had just graduated from college. Her greatest ambition in life was supposedly to live off her parents and coast indefinitely. In a fit of anger, her parents had kicked her out. To survive, Jiana signed up for the reality show, planning to earn enough money to go right back to her carefree lifestyle.
The third pair featured another well-regarded actor from the entertainment industry: Brant Jernigan, twenty-three. Joining him was his twin sister, Sabine Jernigan. They came from a prominent and powerful family. Brant was working hard as an actor because if he didn’t make it, he’d have to go home and inherit their billion-dollar fortune. His sister was on the show purely because she was a fan of so many celebrities and saw it as a prime opportunity to meet them.
The cast of guests seemed to have wildly different personalities, which promised to be interesting. You had to admit, Miranda had a real knack for casting.
As Juniper scrolled further, she suddenly came across Yolanda's profile.
"Eclara City socialite, a gifted student from Eclara University, accomplished in the fine arts. Her favorite pastime is reading in her cozy bed on rainy days…"
The description went on and on. It was so cringey that Juniper felt her toes curl hard enough to dig a new basement. She couldn't bring herself to read the rest and moved on to the profile of her partner. The man playing her “brother” was Yates Garner, a popular young star who had risen to fame on a talent show.
This series would be filmed and broadcast live, with no script and no editing, all under the banner of “authenticity.” Because of this, the show had been generating massive buzz since its official announcement.
Juniper looked away from the press conference and opened Twitter on her phone. Several hashtags were trending. The top one wasn't about Miranda, but about Shanley.
#Got To Support My Mother-In-Law's Show
“Did you guys see Shanley at the Eclara University opening ceremony? I could see his pecs through his shirt! OMG, so hot I could just die.”
“Too bad he doesn’t have a sister. If he were on the show himself, no other show would stand a chance.”
