At the gate.
The security guard on duty was yawning out of sheer boredom.
Suddenly—
He saw a bright red, insanely battered electric scooter zip right past his eyes in a blur.
"Hey! What do you think you're doing? Slow down! Do you have a death wish?!"
The guard leaped up, pointing at the scooter, ready to give the riders a piece of his mind. Just then, the man in the back seat pushed up his helmet visor.
Soon enough.
A very familiar face came into view.
Oh my.
Wasn't that Mr. Schwartz?
Meeting the man's deep, dark gaze, the guard instantly retracted his neck in sheer terror.
How had Mr. Schwartz been reduced to riding on the back of a beat-up scooter?
And who was driving?
It looked like a girl.
"Levon, my eyes aren't playing tricks on me, right? That was the CEO?" As another employee walked up, the guard quickly grabbed him to confirm.
"Yep." The man nodded, looking equally shocked. "Do you know who the girl driving is?"
"Who?" the guard asked, fully intrigued.
"The future Mrs. Schwartz." The man replied with absolute certainty.
"The future Mrs. Schwartz?" The guard pushed his reading glasses up his nose, his eyes wide with disbelief. "Our future Boss Lady is that wild?"
"You bet."
The man gave a silent thumbs-up, flashing a mysterious smile. "If she wasn't wild, how else could she tame Mr. Schwartz?"
The guard thought about it for a second and realized it made perfect sense.

The bakery was located right in the center of the commercial district.
The storefront was exquisitely decorated, with beautiful cake displays in the window luring in passersby.
It was peak hour, so there was a short line outside.
"Wait over there for a bit, I'll go buy it for you."
After parking, Shanley stepped off the scooter and spoke softly.
"You're going?"
