Don't Mess with the Girl with Candy novel Chapter 958

"Pregnant?"

Everyone stared at Melvin, the air practically humming with bloodlust.

"Are you saying Juniper is pregnant?!" Ebony Fox was the first to react. She sprang up from her chair, drawing her gun and racking the slide in one fluid, terrifying motion.

The rest of the siblings looked equally ready to commit murder. Yes, they had accepted Shanley dating her, but their parents were still missing, and the family wasn't fully reunited yet.

More importantly, Juniper was only nineteen and still in college.

How dare that old fox Shanley pull something like this?!

"That bastard is absolutely out of line," Harold cursed out loud, proving just how fiercely protective they all were.

"This is way too reckless," Celine said, resting a hand on her own slightly rounded belly. Being a mother was a beautiful thing, but Juniper was far too young. She hadn't even graduated, and her future was limitless. Having a baby now could derail her entire life!

Jimmie sat motionless in his chair, his expression dark and stormy.

It couldn't be true, could it? Shanley might be a beast in the boardroom, but he had a bottom line. Besides, he adored Juniper too much to put her in that position so young.

There had to be a misunderstanding. But if it turned out to be true, Jimmie would be the first in line to end him.

"Mr. Schwartz and Ms. Payne are here," a waiter announced from the door, causing the tension in the room to snap tight.

"I'm going to kill him," Ebony Fox declared, refusing to put her weapon down. Letting him date her sister was a mercy. If he dared ruin her future...

"Don't do anything crazy yet," Jimmie said, placing a restraining hand on her arm, his own eye twitching. "Let's hear him out first. If you shoot Shanley, it'll break Juniper's heart."

They all knew how deeply Juniper loved the man.

Ebony Fox forced herself to calm down, though the grip on her gun creaked ominously.
