Corvus, just as you predicted, Subterra Vanguard's Specter has made her move."
"But—"
"But what?" Corvus Thorne's voice was ancient, raspy, and clouded with shadows.
"Subterra Vanguard isn't dumping their stock. They're adding to their position," the subordinate reported respectfully. "That's right. It's like they've gone completely insane. They just keep buying."
The speed at which they were pouring capital in was like throwing money into the ocean.
Weren't they afraid that Sanctum Holdings would keep pressing the attack and completely blow up their stock?
"Bring up the feed," Corvus commanded after a brief pause, his tone betraying no emotion.
"Yes, sir."
The subordinate immediately adjusted the camera to display the live trading screen.
Just as he had said, Subterra Vanguard's shares were skyrocketing. They were rapidly catching up to Sanctum Holdings' volume.
The sheer amount and velocity meant that Subterra Vanguard was betting over half their empire on this single play.
If they faced a margin call now, the entire organization would crumble and be wiped off the map in Australis.
This was exactly the outcome Corvus wanted.
And yet... he hadn't expected the leader of Subterra Vanguard to possess such reckless audacity. She actually dared to risk it all!
"And the Schwartz Group?" Corvus's tone turned severe. "What's their status?"
"They're also buying, but in small increments," the man replied after a quick analysis. "They're trailing like a shadow. Whenever Subterra Vanguard makes a move, they follow suit."
However, the Schwartz Group had the head of the Sigma Network backing them. Their combined power was vastly superior to Subterra Vanguard's.
Trailing like a shadow?
Corvus's eyes darkened. As far as he knew, Subterra Vanguard and the Sigma Network were mortal enemies. The fact that the two leaders were deeply in love was a closely guarded secret known only to their inner circles.
"Corvus, should we continue to increase our position?" the subordinate asked carefully. Subterra Vanguard was catching up fast, and the Schwartz Group was right on their tail.
"Keep going," Corvus said, his fingers curling into a tight fist.
He refused to believe it. Specter couldn't possibly know the true depths of Sanctum Holdings' resources. How dare she wager her entire organization against him?
"Yes, sir."
