Normally, a client's demands at a law firm were strictly confidential.
But as soon as Ethan Hayes and Leonard Prescott heard that Sebastian was pulling strings to investigate, they were more than happy to help. Leonard had a lot of free time on his hands now that Lillian was busy at the office all day.
He loved a good show, and he wasn't about to miss this one.
Most importantly, he was practically vibrating with excitement to watch these two tear each other apart.
Knowing Lillian would also enjoy the spectacle, they casually leaked the information directly to Sebastian.
At that moment, Lester handed Sebastian a slip of paper with a number written on it.
Sebastian took one look at the figure, slammed his hand on the desk, and shot out of his chair.
"Why doesn't she just go rob a bank? Fifty billion? Is she out of her mind? I don't even have fifty billion! We've been married for a matter of days, and she has the nerve to demand fifty billion? Who the hell does she think she is?"
Lester lowered his head slightly and rubbed his nose.
He couldn't really blame Sebastian for losing his temper and screaming. Bella's demand was absolutely delusional.
As the person closest to him, Lester knew exactly what Sebastian's net worth was.
After working for him all these years, how could he not?
Between his CEO salary, bonuses, dividends, the shares given to him by his parents, his standard Northwyn estate which was meant to be his marital home, his sprawling manor, various real estate holdings, investments, and the startup he and Lillian had merged into the Blake Group... if you tallied it all up, he was likely worth close to a hundred billion.
Bella obviously had no idea what he was actually worth, yet she was opening her mouth and demanding half of it.
Now, Lester finally understood why Sebastian had conspired with him to force Bella into signing The Blake Pre-Nuptial Agreement.
Looking back, Sebastian had meticulously prepared every detail for that document.
At the time, as an outsider, Lester thought his boss was being excessively paranoid. Marriage wasn't a business transaction, and guarding against a partner that ruthlessly seemed a bit extreme.
