Find me in your labyrinth (Stella and Jonathan) novel Chapter 2657

On her way back to her room, Sylvia glanced out the window and saw that the light in Gabriel's room was still on.

Inside the villa, she passed through the living room, took off his jacket, and grabbed her medical kit before knocking on his door.

"Come in," his deep voice answered.

Sylvia pushed the door open to find him sitting at his desk, reviewing some documents. She placed the jacket on the back of the sofa. "I left your jacket here," she announced.

"Mm," he grunted without looking up, simply leaning back in his chair.

Sylvia walked over with her medical kit. "Take off your shirt," she said, preparing the supplies. "Time to change the dressing."

He finally glanced at her before starting to unbutton his shirt.

Sylvia kept her eyes averted. Once he had pulled the sleeve down, she began to carefully unwrap the gauze from his wound. His outer shirt was damp from the rain, but thankfully, only the top layer of the dressing was moist. The wound itself was dry.

He sat while she stood, forcing her to bend slightly over him. The fabric of her long dress draped elegantly, outlining the graceful curve from her shoulder to her waist. Her movements were practiced and her expression focused, but her eyelashes fluttered uncontrollably. She could feel his eyes on her.

Gabriel’s eyes were naturally captivating, but his years in the military and as a commander had forged them into something more—deep and unreadable. Few people could remain composed under his intense, unwavering gaze.

After what felt like an eternity, she finished dressing the wound. Sylvia stood up, packing her kit, and let out a quiet, imperceptible sigh of relief.

He turned away from her and began to button his shirt back up, one by one.
